The best in the Tri state area.I love the diverse menu, everything was fresh and the service was excellent! The portions are VERY generous!!The atmosphere is cozy & comfortable yet the food was that of a 5 star restaurant in taste & presentation! I will be visiting again very soon, I highly recommend giving them a try!!

Ordered on DoorDash for lunch. Got the fried whiting soul platter for 20. Good portion size, and well seasoned. Definitely recommend eating here!

Food was amazing. Finally a good soul food spot that’s not in Newark!! They have the best fried fish and fries around. Plus superb customer service I pray y’all grow bigger and bigger!

WHENNNNNNN I tell you HANDS DOWN THE BESTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT SOUL FOOD - THE BEST SEAFOOD - THE BEST CHICKEN - AROUND JERSEY I am NOT overexaggerating. Chicken is crispy and quality meat All of the seafood is equivalent to seafood in Florida ( SUPER FRESH& juicy& big) pasta and sauce are QUALITYYYYYY Cornbread and biscuits are better than my grandmas kitchen..... fluffy buttery fresh flavorful..omggggg God bless cooks kitchen

Mostly a take out spot although they do have a couple tables. Hate the Fried Whiting lunch and it was nice and crispy. Make sure you request hot sauce. The Mac and cheese was top notch and the sweet potato’s were great. Definitely worth it in my opinion

Awesome business is Rahway! The food is definitely comfort food and is on point. I love the mac & cheese. Not your typical Mac, but it's definitely better than the Mac in the local area. The owner, Deshawn, is awesome, ambitious, and very knowledgeable in his business. The place is under renovation but still doing takeout. They have A LOT on their menu. I can't wait to try everything . I'll be back.

I visited Cooks for lunch today with my sons. I’ve been going there for some time and I’ve never been disappointed with the things I’ve tried on the menu. The kids also love the food. I ordered crab stuffed salmon, Mac and cheese and the kids had the bacon burger, which was big enough for them to split and fries. We also ordered the wings and salmon sliders, which is a new item. The salmon in the sliders was so thick and juicy!. Everything was on point and the prices are in line with the quality and portion sizes. The service was also good. The main difference is that the menu has changed and the kids wanted the fried shrimp which was no longer on the menu. I definitely recommend Cooks and I’m looking forward to trying the new restaurant!

I ordered from door dash got the salmon over rice with yams and mac n cheese. Food came piping hot beautiful presentation. But most importantly the flavor was amazing!! It’s not just salty, they actually use herbs and seasonings its perfect. Will definitely be ordering again
